2nd Shift Maintenance Tech
Overview
The maintenance technician ensures optimal operation of plant machinery, mechanical equipment, grounds, and associated functions. This role reports to the maintenance supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow Lyons Mission and Principles
- Performing shift start up or shift shut down
- Opening or closing the building
- Performing preventative maintenance on items such as motors, pneumatic tools, robotics, vacuum forming ovens and production machines
- Performing emergency repairs
- PLC and AGV System Troubleshooting
- Machine Recipe Management
- Ignition programming and maintenance
- Process requests through internal work order program
Required Skills and Abilities
- Willing and able to work past scheduled hours when necessary
- Must have good math, reading, and writing skills
- Good problem solving and root cause skill
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to articulate and comprehend complex environments
- Works well alone and in a team environment
Education and Experience
- Humble, hungry and emotionally intelligent
- 3+ years’ experience programming PLCS’s, Fanuc Paint Robots, or Ignition
- 1 year experience using Lean Manufacturing Tools
- Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, electric, and electronics maintenance
- Knowledge and experience with forklifts; willing and able to receive forklift certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 50lbs+
- Prolonged periods of standing and working on feet
- Some exposure to high noise levels and hazardous materials
